Why Is This Mentorship is Different?
It’s the only conscious parenting mentorship that is culturally aware and rooted in Islamic principles. It’s the only mentorship that centres the voices and experiences of brown and black mothers, because breaking cycles for you is rooted in cultural conditioning and generational patterns.
We will explore cultural nuances, tackle generational trauma, and develop conscious parenting strategies tailored to your unique experiences.
You’ve caught yourself sounding like your Desi, African, Arab or Caribbean mum? Yep, I did too!
Starting June 14th 2025:

You are a daughter of immigrant parents— and you’re done repeating the same old patterns.
You are a brown or black mother who wants more than just “good enough” parenting.
You are ready to change the course of your lineage — no more silent suffering or passing down trauma.
You want to unlearn the behaviours and beliefs that don’t serve you or your kids anymore.
You’re hungry for real, practical strategies to strengthen your relationship with your child and yourself.
You believe that with the right guidance and tools, you can become the best version of yourself — as a mother, as a woman, and as a leader.
You want to walk away with effective emotional regulation techniques to be the emotionally mature Brown or Black mother your kids deserve.
You’re ready to invest your time, energy, and resources — to stop drowning in content, shame, and guilt, and start actively breaking cycles that once felt impossible.
If this is you, then this mentorship is waiting...
Are you ready to change the narrative of growing up in a black and brown household?
I know you are ready to stop the way you were treated as a child being passed down to the next generation.
Mentorship Module
WEEK 1 - WE START WITH THE TRUTH BEHIND THE PHRASE: “IT RUNS IN THE FAMILY.”
You’ll explore:
The beliefs, behaviours and survival strategies you inherited, from your parents, their parents, and generations before them. You’ll start to see how they show up in your tone, your fears, your need for control, or your silence.
The weight of culture, tradition and religion, what kept you grounded, what kept you quiet, and what you’re now questioning as a parent. You’ll learn how to honour your roots without letting them rule your parenting.
The impact of colonisation, partition and enslavement, and how they still echo through our families. This isn’t just personal, it’s historical. And it’s time to break the silence.
This isn’t about blame, it’s about clarity.
Because the moment you understand where your parenting patterns came from...
is the moment you stop passing them down.
WEEK 2 - CULTURE RAISED YOU — BUT NOW IT’S YOUR TURN
How culture shaped you before you even had language for it — what you were told (and not told) about being a mother, about respect, about staying quiet, and about who gets to express anger or softness in your home.
What cultural conditioning actually looks like in your parenting — the guilt, the shame, the fear of being judged, and the pressure to raise “well-behaved” kids who don’t embarrass the family.
What happens when you start questioning your upbringing — when you stop saying “that’s just how it is” and start asking, “but does this still serve me?” Spoiler: that’s where your power begins.
Rethinking your instincts to hit, shout, and shut down — not because you’re weak, but because you’ve learned to parent from a place of fear, not connection. We’re flipping that script.
Real tools to unlearn, rewire, and respond differently — so your kids don’t have to heal from your love the way you’re healing from your parents’.
WEEK 3 - GROWN WOMAN HEALING — BECOMING THE EMOTIONALLY MATURE MUM YOU NEVER HAD
The art of self-awareness — You can’t change what you don’t see. We’re getting brutally honest about the patterns you’re repeating and where they really come from.
Conscious motherhood over cultural autopilot — You’re not here to parent the way your mum, your aunties, or your community expects. You’re here to parent with intention, not guilt.
My 3-step method to break down your triggers before they break you — You’ll learn how to pause, unpack, and respond differently — even when you’re tired, triggered, and pushed to your edge.
How to stop parenting from your pain and start parenting from your power — This isn’t about being perfect. It’s about showing up with presence and integrity, even when it’s hard.
This week, you stop being the grown-up child reacting to your past —
and start being the emotionally grounded mum your kids can feel safe with.
Because emotional maturity isn’t about keeping it together.
It’s about healing yourself so you don’t project your wounds onto your children.
WEEK 4 - FROM CONTROL TO CONNECTION — RAISING KIDS WITHOUT LOSING YOUR MIND
How to communicate with your child or teen without shouting, guilt-tripping, or tearing them down — even when they push every single one of your buttons.
Why “tough love” and punishment don’t actually teach — they just traumatize — and what to do instead if you want your child to actually learn and grow.
What’s really underneath your mum rage — (hint: it’s not just about your kid leaving their shoes everywhere). You’ll unpack the hidden wounds that keep you reacting, then learn how to respond with power and peace
How to shift from rules to agreements in your home — because your child isn’t a soldier. They’re a human who needs guidance, not constant correction.
How to set boundaries without shouting, spanking, or shutting down — boundaries that build safety, not fear.
WEEK 5 - PARENTING WHILE BEING WATCHED — BOUNDARIES, AUNTIES & YOUR INNER GOOD DAUGHTER
The 5 types of boundaries every cycle-breaking mum needs — especially when you're surrounded by family who “mean well” but overstep constantly. These are the tools that protect your peace and your parenting.
How to handle “But we didn’t raise you like that” without exploding or shrinking — real communication strategies that let you stand your ground without disrespect.
How to stop being the “good daughter” at the cost of being the present, powerful mum your kids need — because your parenting style shouldn’t depend on keeping everyone else comfortable.
Scripts and strategies to explain your parenting choices without starting WW3 — including how to say no with respect, how to hold your line when it gets uncomfortable, and how to stop defending your every move.
How to shift from rules to agreements in your home — because your child isn’t a soldier. They’re a human who needs guidance, not constant correction.
How to set boundaries without shouting, spanking, or shutting down — boundaries that build safety, not fear.
WEEK 6 - YOU ARE THE CYCLE BREAKER — NOW LET’S BUILD YOUR NEW NORMAL
Learn how to shut down that inner voice that says “You’re not doing enough” or “You’re failing your kids” — and replace it with grounded, affirming self-talk that actually helps you grow.
Create routines and rhythms that fit your real life — your kids, your career, your culture, your faith, your messy kitchen and all. We’re not doing unrealistic Pinterest parenting here. This is structure that supports your sanity.
Explore simple but powerful nervous system regulation tools — so you can stop parenting from panic, stress, or shutdown. You’ll learn how to soothe yourselfbefore you spiral.
Practice self-compassion like it’s a non-negotiable — because you cannot break cycles from a place of self-hatred. You need softness. You need grace. And you deserve both.
